Richard (Weiyi) Gao is a USRSA certified MRT (Master Racquet Technician) with ATP/WTA Tour stringing experience and a deep understanding of modern racquet, string, and tension setups. He helps players in Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke, Milton, Burlington, Brampton, and the Greater Toronto Area get more performance, consistency, and confidence from their racquets.
Over the years, Gao has strung tens of thousands of racquets and worked with players of all levels — from complete beginners to high-level club players, from competitive juniors to top 100 ATP players (Matteo Berrettini, Corentin Moutet, Arthur Cazaux, Valentin Royer, Mariano Navone, Christopher Eubanks, Eliot Spizzirri, Luca Nardi, Wu Yibing, etc.) and top 100 WTA players (Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Linda Noskova, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Iva Jovic, Diana Shnaider, Wang Xinyu, Zheng Qinwen, etc.)
He would personally attend to your racquets with tour-level attention to detail.
Before opening Gao Stringing Lab, Gao worked as a racquet stringer/technician at one of the best tennis shops in China, Ace Studio.
Gao is an NTRP 4.0-4.5 player who started playing tennis since 2004.
The Machines
The Machines
Gao Stinging Lab is equipped with professional machines to provide top-level services on both stringing and customization.
The stringing machine is Wilson Baiardo L. The same series of machines are used at US Open and French Open. It is calibrated regularly to ensure consistent and precise string jobs.
For customization, HEAD 3-in-1 Swingweight machine is trusted for measuring static weight, balance, and swingweight accurately.
